Unless customized, the following Slack notifications are enabled by default for both desktop and mobile:

  • When you receive a Direct Message (DM)
  • When someone replies to a thread you’re part of
  • When someone mentions you (@yourname) or uses: @here, @channel, @everyone
  • When a message contains one of your custom keywords (if set)
  • When you have a Slackbot reminder (if configured)

We recommend customizing notifications to suit your needs so you never miss important updates.
