If an Insufficient capacity error occurs, the following actions can be taken.
※ The Insufficient capacity error occurs when AWS does not have enough available On-Demand capacity to fulfill your request. This error may also occur when attempting to launch or start an instance.
- Change the request and try again
- For example, if you requested to launch 15 instances at once and encountered the error, try changing the request to launch 3 instances, 5 times.
- Try launching with an older generation. ex) t3.micro -> t2.micro
- Changing the AZ is another possible solution.
- If the issue is not resolved using the above methods, you can check the current capacity with your TAM or SA to launch instances within that capacity.
However, please note that the information may not reflect real-time capacity.
- Zonal RI purchase
- This is a method of securing available capacity limited to a specific AZ.
- Charges apply regardless of actual usage, so ensure accurate usage estimates before purchasing.
- Not applicable with Regional RI, Convertible RI, or Savings Plan.
- ODCR (On-Demand Capacity Reservation) purchase
- No contract period, upfront payment, or additional fees.
- Savings Plan and Regional RI discount rates are applied.
- On-Demand instance charges begin from the time of reservation.
